Assessor Comments
An excellent line of young ewes that presented in store to forward store condition. These ewes are fresh off the board and are really starting to freshen up after a tuff, wet couple of months. They presented as a run of predominately medium framed sheep. Health treatments are all up to date and are ready to put out for lambing early august. It was noted that at assessment these ewes were really starting to spring up and present heavy in lamb. Prompt delivery is advised to ensure ewes settle pre lambing. The multiples are identified with a blue stripe on the nose, 226 multiple bearing ewes and 93 singles. These ewes were purchased in as young ewes lambs in 2019 (Lockhart breeder) and have been a very productive and fertile line of ewes. They’ve scanned up at 170% and should produce some top quality prime lambs. All the hard work has been done with these and a ready to put straight out to the paddock for lambing. Ewes have also had access to Greenfeed magnesium blocks.
