Assessor Comments
Good quality Poll Coreena ewes mid April/May/ mid June 2018 - 57% 2019 drop & 43% 2018 drop - the majority are 5.25 years . In strong light store condition. Good framey stretchy ewes from a very fertile flock of proven breeders. NSM. A full crutch & wig prior to assessment. The Evanston flock has lambed 4 times in 3 years - A/M 22, O/N 22 & A/M 23 & 24 for an overall flock av of 92% this year including maidens. This group weaned 125% 4 weeks ago. From a heavily classed flock, grown & raised under the “Responsible Wool Standards and Integrity Systems” program at Evanston Station. A small number of ewes with one ear or scaly ears - yet not unusual in sheep of this age. In strong yet light store condition. The lead 6 decks for approx 576 will be loaded from 609 with "any" tail out - overall the ewes present well only having lambs weaned 4 weeks ago and should bounce ahead on good higher protein feed.
