Assessor Comments
On offer is a quality line of Merino ewes, 3 and 4 years of age. These ewes show very good frame and wool traits. They were classed by Mitchell Rubie as better wool types to be joined to Merino rams as the basis for a self-replacing flock, but due to a change in direction they are now being offered for sale. The lambs at foot are sired by Lachlan and Laurel Park Merino rams and are fresh, averaging 24kg. Lambs have been marked but not mulesed. These ewes and lambs present a great opportunity to get into a line of large framed Merino ewes which have been purchased from quality Merino flocks, with a line of well grown lambs at foot. Noted some ewes with longer toes due to running on soft, wet country, and also the odd ewe and lamb with some stain/dags due to fresh green feed. Also approx. 6 ewes with scur/light horn.
