730 Purple tag hoggets, July 2020 drop. They were bred by 'Austral Park Merino' ewes which were based on Barrama bld for year, recently they have introduced Stud Park South & Wallaloo genetics. The vendor joined some ewes to a Dohne ram so these ewes are 50% Dohne which has put stretch and leg on the ewes. They seem to thrive in summer when the feed hardens up. They were shorn in Nov. A tail has been removed. They had a pretty tough winter as they were held up to make room for lambing ewes though have grown well since spring. They have good cover with stretch, and will produce a handy terminal lamb while cutting high value wool. The wool tested well this year, see attached. This is the complete age group with a tail removed.
