Assessor Comments
A nice line of mixed age merino ewes S.I.L to Normanhurst Border Leicester rams. These ewes present in predominantly forward store to forward condition and medium frame. In good condition carrying a good percentage of lambs (51% multiples, 49% singles) heading into the spring. These ewes were originally scanned empty and then rejoined for a mid Oct/Nov lambing. A large percentage of older ewes but of the 20 ewes mouthed I found 16 sound, 3 worn, 1 broken (refer photos). Due to running on soft, wet country some ewes do have long toes but did not show signs of foot scald or soreness.
