Complete flock dispersal of West Plains P’ship due to the Property been sold.The Hammond Family’s Flock has been based on pure Uardry/Calga Blood Dohnes & Cooroonboon Poll Merino Rams being introduced to improve wool quality in 2019. The West Plains flock’s goal have been to Breed Hardier sheep that are Large framed yet Easy doing sheep with plain bodies, soft wool and high Fertility with the flock currently in a double joining programme in the Spring & Autumn periods. The flock has no vet treatments to report other that a Backline at shearing time on 21/07/20.
***** These 5 year old ewes have 119% unmarked lambs at foot and 11 months of wool on their backs and come highly recommended for the serious breeder wanting to retain breeders with impressive genetics or the opportunist looking for a quick return.
* buyers note - very small percentage of lambs showing a scab on the corner of mouth due to saffron thistle, small% of ewes with a long toe or dropped bag.
