Complete flock dispersal of West Plains P’ship due to the Property been sold.The Hammond Family’s Flock has been based on pure Uardry/Calga Blood Dohnes & Caroonboon Poll Merino Rams being introduced to improve wool quality in 2019. The West Plains flock’s goal have been to Breed Hardier sheep that are Large framed yet Easy doing sheep with plain bodies, soft wool and high Fertility with the flock currently in a double joining programme in the Spring & Autumn periods. The flock has no vet treatments to report other that a Backline at shearing time on 21/07/20.
***** A very nice line of Maiden Ewes that are very well grown out for there age and are showing Good frame, bone & Weight for age. This even line of young Ewes are showing all the traits of the West plains breeding plan with the wool quality of the 2020 drop superior to the older age groups and potentially the best drop on offer.
*****10% tail removed, 550 head total to be offered in 2 lots of 225 thru the gate
