Assessor Comments
An impressive line of 174 SIL Merino / Border Leicester ewes. White tag, 2017 drop, rising 4 year old. Scanned to Derrynock Dorset rams at 178%, which includes 38 singles and 136 twins. Rams went in 14/1 and came out on the 28/2. Ewes averaged 85Kg full. Ewes were purchased off AP from Delro Pastoral Co at Naracoorte, SA. They were shorn on the 16th of March, all ewes are OJD vaccinated. All ewes have been Mulesed. There is a big weight range in the ewes however if 5 lighters ewes were taken out they would be very even. They were left in as it was deemed they are still good ewes just a bit lighter. The vendor has always selected high indexing Derrydock Dorset ram, which is evident when they sell hvy trade export lambs every year straight off the ewe. A very impressive line of highly fertile ewes.
