Assessor Comments
Offering 324 Merino Ewes. These ewes averaged 52.6kg live at assessment. The ewes have just recently weaned lambs in the last few days and are still showing full udders. These ewes were last shorn in April and currently carry around 40mm average wool length. The ewes generally show very good sound mouths considering their age with only 15% worn and 2% broken out of the 92 head mouthed. These sheep would be great ewes to rejoin on good feed and get another lamb out of them or just shear, fatten and trade for the mutton job. Please note there are some ewes showing light scab on the ears and some with longer toes on their back legs which is common for older ewes in downs country. Also there are 5 ewes that have been recently shorn included in the mob that missed the general shearing. Also please note there are another 2 lots of sheep included in the Tuesday sales from the same vendor.
