THIS REPRESENTS A LINE OF THE WATERBAG STATION BRED EWES BEING SOLD DUE TO A CHANGE IN BREED DIRECTION. THERE IS APPROX 5% THAT WERE PURCHASED IN, THESE WERE BRED IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA. THEY HAVE BEEN JOINED TO THE WHITE SUFFOLK RAMS & SCANNED FOR MULTIPLES DAY BEFORE ASSESSMENT. THEY HAVE BEEN TERRIFIC MOTHERS DISPLAYING PLENTY OF FRAME & DOING ABILITY. LAMBS FROM THESE EWES IN THE PAST FEW YEARS HAVE BEEN GROWN OUT TO 28-32kg dw ON PASTORAL COUNTRY. NOTE THAT THERE IS APPROX 18% UNMULSED OFF THE SAMPLE WEIGHED, BUT HASN’T BEEN AN ISSUE. ALSO APPROX 3% THAT SHOW STRONGER TYPE WOOL, CLEANER POINTS THAT MAY BE WHITE SUFFOLK DOHNE EWES. THERE IS THE VERY VERY ODD EWE THAT HAS A LITTLE DAG. THERE IS ALSO THE OLDER SISTERS IN THE SALE TO HELP WITH FREIGHT & PUT A GOOD LINE OF PASTORAL EWES TOGETHER TO GIVE A GOOD RETURN.
