Assessor Comments
The second draft of Wingiel’s 1081 June / July 2021 drop yellow tag Merino ewes, (690 tops & 390 slightly younger) FEBRUARY shorn, Gudair vaccinated, mulesed and are Wurrook blood. Normally these ewes would be shorn in October and sold in November, but with in excess of 8,500 lambs this year they are now surplus to their requirements. Wurrook rams have been specially selected for size, structure and wool. Wingiel aim to produce adult sheep which are 17-18.5 microns and capable of cutting large quantities of freegrowing and stylish wool whilst retaining size and reproductive performance. The 8,000 breeding ewes shorn in April, (2,500 were maidens) cut 4 kgs at 7 months. Bred true to type & with these genetics prospective purchasers can secure a even line of healthy young ewes. Great opportunity to purchase replacement ewes with 7 months wool, shear them in the spring and join. This high fertile flock is managed with the strictest animal health protocols.
