Cows were generally good to handle throughout the yards. In the crush, 20% were slightly to moderately agitated and would just not fully settle while being assessed. Three head were moderately to highly agitated while being assessed and exited quickly. They all settled once in the yard and particularly after the calves were put back with the cows.

A fair through to mostly good and very good quality rising 3 to 6 years old cows with calves at foot. They are 80% vendor bred with the balance purchased as weaners or young PTIC heifers in 2022. They have Texas sired calves at foot of which 20% were weighed and ranged from 49 - 140 kg to avg 105 kg after being off the cows overnight. Please note 111 calves were counted and it is suspected there is 2 sets of twins in the cows. The cows have been rejoined to Texas and Raff Angus bulls from 17/10/24 until delivery (see attachments). The cows are 48% medium and 52% large frame and are in store condition. The cows were mustered into a laneway on Sunday and then yarded Monday and dry overnight curfewed prior to assessing - it is a very curfewed weight. Three cows noted with one or two enlarged teats and two cows with 2 x mod blue eyes. These are good functional cows with good quality Angus sired calves at foot that have years of breeding left ahead of them.
