A very handy line of young backgrounding steers, vendor did castrate 25 of this mob 4 weeks ago and seem to have healed and are fit to travel. These 25 are not HGP treated, and the vendor will issue a separate NVD if required. I am impressed by the shape of the majority of these weaners, they show great scope for putting serious weight on given access to fresh feed. Predominately greys, (both light and dark), with reds, honeys through mob as well as blacks, brindles and Black Baldly as can be seen in photos and video. Only 1 horned steer in mob (horn 3-4 inches), 1 scurred, 1 tipped and balance cleanly dehorned. Found these steers very relaxed and quiet when I moved among them, a credit to the vendor in educating/handling these young steers. Weighed to a min of 150kgs after 2 hours off feed and a walk into yards.
