Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Steers were unsettled in the race and head bale which were made up of noisy and moving portable panels of a yard which they had not worked through before. They settled on their release and were easy to work in the bigger yards.

Assessor Comments
These steers would be highly suited to an Organic operation to fatten. Otherwise they would easily suit a trade feedlot job or put on an oats crop and grow out to heavy feeders or fatten to bullocks. A couple of these steers appeared a little bit thicker in the head suggesting they were a little late cut, this is not expected to be an issue and would still pass as steers. One steer was noticed to have some hair loss suspected to be lice, being Organic they have had no chemical treatments. A further steer has a milky/cloudy eye (photo) Please note Vendor has 3 lots of lighter steers in the same sale and 4 lots of heifers.
