Assessor Comments
Purchased from several leading dairies in the Gloucester area as poddy calves. Reared on milk and milk + pellets for 10 weeks, then weaned onto weaner pellets for a further 6 weeks. These steers are all up to date with animal health treatments, plus they have all received a Bovilis shot. With all the hard work done, these steers are ready to take through to heavier weights. This is the lead run out of 150 calves and there are huge opportunities for compensatory weight gain as all these steers are in store condition. All are on the move forward and with plenty of bone and scope, given the right opportunity these steers will grow into very heavy cattle.
