Offering 120 Angus cross Steers. All Steers were weighed after having minimal access to hay and water overnight, ranging from 387 to 512kg to Av. 449kg. They were mouthed to be 85% Milk teeth and 15% breaking or full two teeth. On Monday the day prior to assessment all cattle were mustered, walked over 5km and drafted as a mob of 1,200 head, so they have had big yard time and curfews. These steers are MSA accredited, HGP-free and display very good frame, bone, and shape making them well suited to perform in the feedlot or finish on an oats crop. They are vendor bred out of medium to large framed Brahman, Charbray and Brangus cross cows and sired by quality bulls including Texas, Ardrossan, Murdeduke Angus and Palgrove Charolais. A total of 130 steers were assessed and photographed with 120 offered for trucking (Steers over 512kg will be removed). Two steers are of more Brangus types with slight hump. Please note that there are also another run of 2 decks of 48 Charolais X steers and 4 decks of 88 spayed heifers being offered in the same sale.
