Heifers were very good to handle in and through the race and crush given they were just being weaned. Very good to handle in the yards. Will be worked in and through the yards during weaning prior to delivery.

A good to mostly very good quality line of vendor bred heifers. They were yard weaned at assessment onto hay and weaner pellets and will be in the yards until delivery. With medium to large frame they show good weight for age and dont seem to have had a setback with the tough season. The heifers are sired by Mooroobie Angus bulls out of Angus and Angus Hereford cows, majority of the cows are Angus. Note the heifers were weighed after being in the yards overnight with their mothers. The heifers over 280 kg were Vet preg tested at assessment and 100% were not detectably pregnant. All 24 heifers were needled with prostaglandin as a precaution against any pregnancies. They have been vaccinated with 5 in 1 at branding. Note their brothers are in this sale also. Good quality backgrounder heifers that will suit a range of high quality slaughter markets.
