Generally good to handle through the round yard, race and in larger yards. The odd heifers became agitated under pressure, typical of weaners, but very impressive considering they were pulled of mum the morning of assessment.

Assessor Comments
A superior line of pure Booroomooka blood heifers that generally are not offered to market as weaners. The Merrilong Ag herd has been purely Booroomooka based for over 20 years and are well know throughout the district as a high performance Angus herd. Only a small percentage of the heifer weaners were retained due to drought, based purely on weight. The Merrilong heifers are generally joined and sold as 2 years olds into a premium PTIC programme. Heifers will make outstanding future breeders in any Angus herd, alternatively they will make lovely bodies in a grain or grass operation.
