These cattle are very quiet in the yards and very good to handle in and through the yards. They were generally ok coming into and exiting the crush. Seven head were moderately agitated and one animal highly agiated in and exiting the crush - they just would not settle and be still in the crush. They were all fine once let back into the mob.

A line of good to very good quality vendor bred Angus steers. With medium to large frames they suit to background to export feeder weights for all major feeder programs. They were yard weaned in late February and are back on good feed and moving ahead nicely. They are sired by Mooroobie Angus bulls selected for above average 600 Day and IMF EBV's. The cow base has genetic influences from Te Mania, Rennylea and Eaglehawk through heifers and cows purchased over the past four years. There are six steers that just show a little cross from some Angus/Santa influence from some cows many years ago. They have been worked with bikes and are accustomed to electric fencing and the light use of dogs. These are very good quality steers that are well weaned and moving ahead on feed and are only available for sale due to the season.
