The calves walked through the yards very well considering they had been weaned the day before assessment. The only stirry bit came because the calves were being tagged at weighing, and a bit of that was probably my fault for closing the bale head too hard.

This is the complete drop of the steers off Seafield. I was impressed by how well the calves look, and with the ease in which we were able to assess them. The calves show plenty of bloom at assessment, which will no doubt fade due to weaning. They are out of medium frame cows by a Hazledean Angus Bull. The herd is used to human interaction, with rotational grazing being part of the Seafield operations for a few years.
