Assessor Comments
Offering a b-double load of Angus cross steers weighing 225-345kg at assessment. These steers are acclimatised with all treatments up to date and are stacking the weight on. They are grazing cereal crops that have plenty of quality food on offer due to the soft start to winter. They have been bunk trained in containment at purchasing and are pleasant to work. They were purchased in to graze winter crops and are being sold to make room for lighter weaners in preparation to lock crops up. This line represents the tops of the purchased steers off Thugga. They have had 2 x 5 in 1 and 2 x MH+IBR as well as a recent drench and are recording an average daily weight gain around 1.4kg with fat cover starting to increase. Ideal to background for the strong feeder or kill markets with all of the preparation and expense behind them. In this consignment are the Angus cross types that have been identified as 50% Angus content or greater. Some steers are British cross while the majority have some BOS content. Refer video to determine breed and temperament on display. Quality Angus cross steers that are settled in their group and will remain as one until delivery.
