Assessor Comments
115 Watervalley Black Angus steers, Ex Mt Scott 240-300 kg weight range, Ave 263.8 kg LW Curfewed. Presenting in fresh store condition coming through a dry autumn and winter fed on hay. They have a good medium frame in lighter condition that will gain weight quickly given good feed. Angus types, with the off types and lighter animals drafted out at assessment. Buyers should expect a small crossbred influence and hybrid vigour in a very small percentage. Approx. 5%, with minor ringworm. Run out the gate from 138 steers in this line. The Watervalley cattle are well known for their doing ability and will perform well for those buyers looking for improver cattle to add value to their purchases.
