Assessor Comments
A line of 35% very good, 55% good, and 10% fair quality vendor bred Speckle Park and Speckle Park Cross weaner steers. These weaners are the full drop of this season's steers and are Teys Grasslands accredited. While there is lighter end in the steers they have not had a setback and were weaned younger then normal due to the season. The are generally fresh in the coat and retain the potential to go ahead quickly on good feed. With 14% small, 38% medium, 48% large frame they would suit to take through to the top end of the domestic market or to heavy export feeder weights for a range of grass fed or grain fed markets. They were good to work with in the yards. Note same vendor has a smaller line of heifers, the sisters to these steers in this week's sale. They are located within 5km of the Newell Hwy and would be easy to work in with any north-south transport.
