Assessor Comments
A line of vendor-bred Angus and Angus Cross weaner steers. With medium to large frames they suit to background to domestic and then onto export feeder weights. They are good to very quality with one fair quality steer just lacking a little muscling. Due to vendor calving nearly all year round there is a range of ages and therefore weights in the line. Normally they are weaned into a cell grazing operation and backgrounded to export feeder weights but are being sold due to the season. Please note that there are two steers who had a slight blue eye spot in one eye, two with moderate blue eyes, one with moderate blue eyes on both sides and three with healing pink eye. Anything that was not considered suitable to enter a feedlot or does not have the potential to heal well enough to enter a feedlot was removed from the line. They all have been run in a cell grazing operation, are familiar with electric fences and have been handled use LSS techniques.
