Comment on Fat Score 1 Cattle
Any score 1's and are certainly suitable to travel any distances. Some of the lighter weight steers have been weaned early and show signs of a tough winter whilst on the cows. Most look to have been self weaned on the cows and show limited fat coverage.

Temperament not assessed in Paddock
These weaners have only been weaned a short time. They are not totally yard savy just yet so odd steer is easily spooked and most will always follow ring leaders. Nothing that could be described as aggressive in the mob in the bigger yards and they still need to be steadied down through a gateway, not unusual. Would advise further weaning protocols be applied upon receival.

Assessor Comments
Buyers, 3-decks of Consuelo EU ACCREDITED and PCAS ELIGIBLE Santa backgrounder steers that have developed a great reputation. Have been offered on A+ for the past 10 years and always seem to attract plenty of repeat buyers who have commented on the great performance these steers deliver them. Steers have presented mostly in very plain condition from a tough winter whilst on the cows with little access to protein. Steers are not sappy little ‘butter balls’ so I would predict these will provide a stack of compensatory gain provided they have access to improved feed conditions. They are genetically very sound cattle and should reach their full potential with the ability to grow out and muscle up as they mature. Noticed two steers with a small white patch on them on the flank. Clean country buyers note they are offered GUARANTEED CLEAR of the dip. 314 in the draft selling in 2 lots. BUYERS, AS USUAL THESE ARE VERY REALISTICALLY RESERVED.

Vendor Comments
A run of 318 and delivery will be a ‘run of the gate’ into a 3 deck and 4 deck lot with emphasis placed on an even spread. The first two paddocks at branding were accidently age branded No4's when they should have been stamped with a No5.
