Assessor Comments
A pre wet season special, good weight compensatory gains, tuck away and forget - offering of 186 Angus/Simm Cross #4 vendor bred heifer weaners. The heifers were drenched with 'Muster' Backline on 7th August, have been yard weaned, and are educated, also having trucking experience. They have been bred on “Thornton” Muttaburra then trucked to “Woodbine” on agistment in August. It’s a credit to the vendors as these heifers were great to draft and assess after they had been mustered by helicopter and put through the pound draft then followed by assessment, they were also being penned and worked by kids. They were assessed to weigh from 150kg to 294kg, with an average weight of 210kg. These cattle are sired by high-quality Texas, Booroomooka, Faro, or Outwest Angus Bulls, or Lancaster Black Simmental Bulls, out of medium to large-framed, well-bred Brahman X and Brangus cows. 20 head showing a very slight hump or crest. Vendor also offers a run of coloured 136 heifers in the same sale.
