These steers were excellent to handle in all areas of the yards with only the very odd steer slightly unsettled on the weigh platform.

Assessor Comments
Buyers a B-Double load of very good quality mainly Angus/Hereford cross steers that have presented in excellent condition and seem to be doing very well. These steers will suit an export feedlot operator or to take to heavier weights as either heavy feeders or kill steers off grass/crop. Noted a few steers with some eye issues and especially a single steer that has an old blue eye (photo attached) that can be rejected at delivery if required. Balance mainly only have a blue dot in an eye or some old cloudy scarring. There is also a single deck of lighter weight steers at this property available or a further two lots (6 decks) of Angus steers located at Aberdeen only about 40kms away that can be used to go with these. These have in the past had access to grain so aren’t available to be used for grassfed slaughter markets. These were yarded about 14 hours prior to assessment but were on water and had access to silage in the yards so please treat as full at assessment.
