Assessor Comments
Tops of the autumn drop suckers off Lilliput Ag. 2nd x lambs out of large framed first cross ewes by Kentish Downs poll Dorsets. They are typically fattened for the kill but are being offered as feeder lambs due to ample numbers. Weaned for over a month with all health treatments up to date including a Multimin. 100% weighed at assessment +27kg to average 32kg after a big 16 hour curfew - off types removed (250 head under 30kg). They have been correctly imprinted due to the slow start to the season having been trail fed countless times whilst on their mothers. They offer immediate compensatory weight gains and are the genuine tops of the drop with a large 60% tail retained. Lambs will be bung holed prior to delivery for added convenience. Approximately 2% were noted to have some healed/healing scabs on their ears due to photosynthesis on rich clover. Any lambs not deemed suitable for delivery were removed at assessment. Ideal lambs to background or put straight in the feedlot.
