Assessor Comments
An excellent line of 1st cross sucker lambs to be weaned at delivery. The growth for age in these lambs is exceptional and given normal grazing conditions you could assume they would reach export or joining weights well before they would cut their teeth. These are the lead out of 1000. The vendor has used very good quality rams over large framed ewes to produce these lambs. They exhibit qualities the feeder, fattener or second cross breeder is looking for in shape and meat coverage. The vendors have been producing 1st cross lambs for over 30 years. They present with very little clover burr which should be the case at delivery unless we get a hot spell in between. They weighed an average of 40kg at assessment after a 7 hour lockup and being handled the day before. These lambs will suit a finishing operation as the purchaser will have ample time to do the job.
