Assessor Comments
200 April/May 2019 drop young ewes. A quality line of true to type Kelvale blood sheep which have been scanned in lamb using White Suffolk rams. They are due to start lambing late July and throughout August. These ewes have been bred by the vendor out of a pure Kelvale blood ewe flock. Sparks Farming intended to keep these ewes as part of their core ewe flock, but reluctantly have decided to offer them for sale to reduce numbers. They present a very good opportunity to purchase well bred young ewes with many years of production ahead of them. They are in lamb to high index White suffolk rams purchased out of the Leachim on property sale in 2020. All rams came out of the top 20% of the catalog. Ewes are currently on a high protein supplement diet to prepare them for transport and lambing. Note a small number of ewes have light scabby mouth infection
