The top 285 future breeder ewe lambs / hoggets. Weighed between 49-63kg to average 54.4kg at assessment. Non vendor bred, they were bred near Cavendish in Western Vic. Due to seasonal conditions they were sold in winter and truck to their current location, once settled in they have gained 20kg av across the 1000 head and were averaging 310g/day at assessment. Given it could be 3 weeks from assessment to delivery they have the potential to be 5-6kg heavier. The flock they were bred from has been based on Cashmore Oaklea genetics for 20 plus years, the adult ewes are very fertile and would av around 70-75kg. They have not seen a ram. Very well-bred sheep with great breeding behind them. A total of 1035 in the sale, split into 4 lines.
