Heifers handled well through yards and crush. Odd heifer became agitated in pound when isolated but settled once back in mob. 1 calf was stirry but all others handled well.

A good line of Brahman, Droughtmaster, Charbray, Brangus Cross heifers with 44 calves at foot by Angus Bulls. 52 Heifers (incl 1 Cow 5 yrs) with 44 calves at foot. Assessed 50x42 Heifers & Calves. 8 Heifers yet to calve, 4 of these looked heavy in calf. Heifers have been continuously rejoined to Angus bulls. Very good Angus calves at foot. Assessed 42 calves, 23 Heifers and 19 Steers low weight 86kg, high 321kg, average 184kg. Heifers with horns had rings put on them 1 mth as a dehorning process. Horns are starting to fall off now but on working through the yards some detached and started bleeding. Heifers with horns treated with extinosad, will be done again at loading. Young line of crossbred 1st Calf heifers with very good calves at foot, rejoined to angus bulls, ideal heifers to keep as breeders or as trade units. Very good calves and not far off being ready for sale. Heifers only in store/good condition due to sustained period of wet weather, doing a very good job on their calves.
