Assessor Comments
A very attractive lot of mixed sex F1 Wagyu weaners. These young steers and heifers are packed full of high performance genetics and have a strong reputation to prove it. See Wagyu sire id numbers listed earlier in assessment. Out of large frame Angus cows that were purchased for their high performance bloodlines - focussing on growth and IMF. These weaners present in good condition, most have clean shiny coats and some are still rubbing old hair out. They display good shape, growth, length and plenty of bone. 52 Steers averaging 1.46kg per day over the last 22 days. 43 Heifers averaging 1.48kg per day over the last 22 days. All up to date with vet and health treatments. Very easy cattle to handle in the yards and in the paddock. Cattle out of this program have always performed very well on grain or in feedlots and these youngsters should be no different. We can organise cattle to be trucked to HRLX (at purchasers cost) for ease of meeting trucks travelling through the Hunter Valley.
