Assessor Comments
A good line of quiet Angus C & C units, on their first calf, with the exception of 1 heifer on her second calf. This line of heifers were purchased as yearlings, both locally & ex Auctions +, as part of the vendors breeding operation, with the exception of 5 heifers purchased PTIC which calved out of sequence with another mob. Heifers present as mostly good to moderate in frame, with the Santa cross heifers showing a little more stretch & height. They are producing plenty of milk, which is evident in the fresh calves at foot, & have been running continuously back with the TeMania Angus bulls since calving, however continued joining would be advisable due to the young age of the calves. Presenting in fresh store to forward condition these heifers are cleaning up in the coat, & would put considerable weight on quickly with access to fresher, more available feed. A great opportunity to secure quality young breeders with sappy Angus calves at foot & a lifetime of production ahead of them.
