Steers that are free moving through the yards and require steadying through gates and the race having had less handling than usual in a normal weaning programme at Arranmore. A small number were fidgety in the crush when weighed yet will benefit significantly for the handling at assessment and yard work.

Good quality strong store to forward store condition Santa & Santa cross steers by Bullamakinka Poll Santa Bulls. The Arranmore herd are a large frame very good quality herd of cows. The majority have been bred on another family owned property mustered and branded in 4 rounds a year off the two properties run in parralell. Steers from the most recent round are slightly rougher in the coat and benefiting from the top quality feed at Arranmore cleaning up in the coat. Branded some near side & off side with approx 26% branded #1 & the balance #2. A small number recent (August) age branded with a % of the #2's dropped in line with the 2021 drop calves. Good frame cattle with bone length and frame offering opportunity to grow into heavy feeder weights.
