Temperament was spot on in these steers with only a small percentage becoming slightly agitated under close pressure. Significant pressure was applied in the weighing process with portable scales not fitting neatly in the crush and some time having to be spent to get accurate weights. All steers settled quickly and quietly after assessment and where walked out of the yards on foot with 1 person in the lead.

Assessor Comments
An excellent quality line of Black composite steers that are well handled & educated ready to continue their journey into heavy feeders or grass bullocks. Excellent temperament and well educated steers with only a small portion becoming slightly agitated during the assessment process but quickly settling after assessment. Tidy heads with good moderate frame and plenty of bone these steers will continue to perform for prospective purchasers and offer options right through from feeders to grass bullocks. Small percentage mouthed with any #2's noted mouthed at assessment to be 100% milk tooth. 100% Blacks with the odd steer showing higher Bos Indicus content and minimal hump height, 3 steers showing some tiger stripe brindle through the black and 1 x steer having warts on his eyes. these steers are highly suited to the southern markets and are good easy doers with plenty of scope to continue their growth. Please note vendors have another 3 deck line of Crossbred type steers in this sale
