GENERALLY GOOD TO HANDLE IN ROUND YARD WHEN DRAFTING, SOME DID MOVE OFF YOU QUICKLY IN THE YARDS. 20% OF THE HEIFERS DID BECOME AGITATED IN THE RACE & CRUSH WANTING TO PUSH FORWARD. WHEN ON SCALES A SMALL % UNSETTLED WITH SOME EXITING THE CRUSH QUICKLY THEN SETTLED ONCE BACK IN MOB. CATTLE HAVE NOT BEEN EXPOSED TO HORSE AND DOGS.

THESE HEIFERS WOULD NORMALLY BE RETAINED & JOINED AROUND THIS TIME OF YEAR FOR JULY ON WARD CALVING. DUE TO THE HERD NUMBERS BEING AT TOTAL CAPACITY THE DECISION HAS BEEN MADE TO OFFER THESE HEIFERS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MANY YEARS. THE TIME WAS TAKEN TO DRAFT A VERY GOOD EVEN LINE TOGETHER WITH A SMALL % DRAFTED OFF SO THE PROSPECTIVE BUYERS CAN OPERATE IN THE SALE WITH CONFIDENCE.
